I guess sometime during the later stages of their blog, Fluokids decided to just post images of young ladies doing what they usually do.  GREAT IDEA.  I, like most, visit their site weekly to see newly updated photos.  Here are a few samples:

This site has been around for a while now, Dropping Knowledge and a great way to get involved in discussions relating to world and moral issues..

Here is a clip of Anuradha Mittal talking about her thoughts on society after capitalism…

The world has long been obsessed with music icon, The Beatles. From the mainstream to the avant garde, people can’t seem to get enough of the 4 man band. Artist flock to somehow incorporate the band into their artwork. Here are two very influential artists and their usage of the band.

For the past 10 years, I’ve been reading off and on this book by Michael Gelb called “HOW TO THINK LIKE LEONARDO DA VINCI.” Its a great resource for someone who wants to be like the GREAT da Vinci. (or someone who is overall well rounded)

Each week, I’ll post a segment of the book… This week…………………….

Da Vinci was a man obsessed with the human anatomy and was quite the athlete himself. He was known to bend horse shoes with his bare hands and stop a horse at full gallop. Whether you believe in the myth of Da Vinci is up to you, but what you should know is that Da Vinci knew the benefits of health and physical well being.

Aerobic conditioning also circulates oxygen to all the necessary compartments of your body. The brain on average weights less than 3 percent of your body’s weight but uses more than 30 percent of your body’s oxygen. More you exercise, the better your body can process oxygen. – Posture is also very important to the Da Vinci mindset. Your head on average weighs about 15 pounds. (trying lifting a 15 pound watermelon, its quite heavy) Your spine has to support this weight, and with poor posture, it makes its job all the more difficult.

Whatever life you’re trying to lead, physical well being should be an integral part of it. Just look at the great Muhammad Ali for inspiration. Led by many to believe the perfect specimen of a well Physically Conditioned Human being (during his prime)

Long before John Cage started tearing apart limbs in MORTAL KOMBAT, he was an ARTIST.  An artist dealing with musical compositions in most cases, often times collaborating with other avant garde artist such as NAM JUNE PAIK.  Here is a classic piece from one of his works.  Better written than most music that are out today.

Before Terry Richardson and Richard Kern shot PORN, reigned a Fashion photographer like no other in his time. Setting the industry on FIRE with his provacitive imagery, HELMUT NEWTON changed the way we view photography and the craft.

Are these Artist very special or are they special in the other sense of the word? People’s value of art really spans a whole spectrum of definitions so one can’t really say but there is something to these ideas.

Artist CHRIS BURDEN allowed his assistant to shoot a loaded rifle at him for the “sake of art.”

Director Paolo Cherchi Ursai’s film PASSIO has been regarded as a masterpiece by both KEN BURNS and WERNER HERZOG and now we will never really know what the film had in store for us, that’s because the prints were BURNED by its Director. INFO

In 1961, artist Piero Manzoni packed his own FECES into canisters and sold it in weight for the period’s current GOLD prices.

Martino Gamper is like EMINEM of the FURNITURE DESIGN GAME.  He’s got one heck of a freestyle, or that’s what it seemed from the “If Gio Only Knew” show.  Using old pieces by Gio Ponti, GAMPER re-appropriated the pieces into new furniture at DESIGN MIAMI/BASEL 2007 as show goers wandered about.  Without advance planning and design strategy, he really takes FURNITURE DESIGN into the realm of PERFORMANCE ART.

His other shows include 100 Chairs in 100 Days.
